Web Server
Web File Browser is composed entirely of source code. Therefore, there are no limitations in terms of using it on Web hosting accounts. Simply copy the files to the appropriate place on your hosting account, indicate the files that you want to make available, and you are all set!
The requirements of the Web server or Web hosting account are as follows:
- ASP Version
The ASP version of Web File Browser runs on any ASP server. This includes Windows IIS, Chili!Soft, and SUN One.
It is written using ASP 3.0. The only scripting object it requires is the standard Scripting.FileSystemObject object. - PHP Version
The PHP version of Web File Browser runs on any up-to-date PHP-capable Web server. Apache is one of the most notable examples of a PHP-capable Web server. (Note that no Apache-specific functions are required.) Web File Browser is known to work with Apache 1.3.x, 2.x, and up.
The PHP version of Web File Browser is written using version 4 of the PHP language, which has been available since 2001. It will work regardless of the operating system: Linux, Windows, and so on.
Browser
One of the great advantages of Web File Browser is that it works with so many internet browsers. For example, it works with Internet Explorer 4.0 and up, Netscape 4.7 and up, Mozilla 0.9 and up, and Opera 7.0 and up.
